Foster Parent Training Schedule in Houston

Ongoing Requirements

There are a number of ongoing requirements foster parents must meet in order to ensure that their child(ren) are properly cared for. These requirements include:

	30 hours of training each year including Behavior Management and Psychotropic Medication classes
	CPR and First Aid certification must be kept current
	Criminal Background and Child Abuse check updates every two years
	Home Study update every two years
	Fire inspection must be kept current
	Pet vaccinations must be up to date for all pets in the home
